Disclaimer

Thank you for choosing Bark of the Town Training for your dog training needs. This disclosure statement is intended to provide transparency about the services we offer and the expectations for both clients and dogs during the training process. Please review the following details carefully before engaging in any of our training programs.

1. Training Methods

At Bark of the Town Training, we utilize modern, science-based training methods grounded in the principles of Operant Conditioning. Our approach focuses on positive reinforcement, clear communication, and the ethical correction of unwanted behaviors. Our methods are designed to ensure a positive experience for both the dog and the owner while achieving long-term behavioral changes.

2. No Guarantees of Results

While we are committed to providing high-quality training, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes for any dog or owner. Success in training depends on several factors, including the dog's temperament, behavior history, the owner's ability to apply learned techniques consistently, and other external variables. We are dedicated to working with you to achieve the best possible results, but progress may vary.

3. Health and Safety

The health and safety of your dog are our top priority. However, clients must inform Bark of the Town Training of any known medical conditions, behavioral issues, or other concerns that may impact the training process. By engaging in our services, clients acknowledge that training involves certain risks, including but not limited to minor injuries, stress, or behavioral setbacks, and that Bark of the Town Training will not be held liable for any such incidents.

4. Owner Commitment

Successful training requires commitment and consistent effort from the owner. Clients are expected to follow the instructions provided during sessions and practice regularly with their dogs between lessons. Failure to apply the training techniques outside of sessions may reduce the effectiveness of the program. Bark of the Town Training reserves the right to assess whether the owner is fully engaged in the training process.

5. No Liability for Property Damage or Injury

While we take every precaution to ensure safety during training, clients are responsible for their dogs' actions outside of training sessions. Bark of the Town Training is not responsible for any property damage or injury caused by a dog during or after training. Clients are encouraged to maintain control of their dog and ensure a safe environment during training sessions.

6. Day Training Program Disclaimer

For dogs enrolled in our Doggy Day Training program, Bark of the Town Training assumes responsibility for the dog's care and training during the duration of the lesson. However, we cannot guarantee that your dog will achieve perfect behavior during this time. Dogs may exhibit regression or require additional support once they return to their home environment. It is the owner's responsibility to maintain the training practices learned and to continue reinforcing positive behaviors.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

Bark of the Town Training respects the privacy of all clients. Personal information shared during consultations and training will remain confidential and will not be shared with third parties without prior consent, unless required by law.

8. Modifications to Disclosure

Bark of the Town Training reserves the right to modify this disclosure statement at any time. Updates or changes will be communicated to clients, and a revised version will be made available.
